The last caterpillar for the year

Sep 13, 2011 04:21

This is the last of my silkworms  that is still at the larval stage and needs feeding. Everybody else is already inside the cocoons, which is a huge relief because the leaves of some of the mulberry leaves are beginning to turn yellow at an alarming speed. I could stash some green leaves in the fridge, but my mother wouldn't be happy about that at all. Now with only one left to feed, I'll still be able to get its daily leaf from those trees that haven't started turning yet until it finally starts spinning in... a couple of days from now, I guess.

This time I sneaked the silkworm into my sister's room because my sister was busy in the kitchen, and that didn't leave any other room with good enough light in the afternoon. I had very limited space by the window.

The thing that looks like cobweb on the wall of the box is silk from some other silkworms.
