Ok, this pisses me off

A friend of ours is in hot water at work for mentioning on her LJ that she was unhappy with the current management and that things she was promised have not come to pass. This is, I think, an acceptable use for LJ. She never said where she works, nor any names.

Someone managed to track down her LJ, and did enough detective work to locate where she worked, and ratted her out to her supers. She got reamed, a black mark on her permanent record, and official discipline. Their problem with her? "If you really were dedicated to the job, you wouldn't complain about the people here."

BULL FUCKING SHIT.

Now this friend of ours is just about the BEST damn worker I have ever met. She would be an asset beyond par to ANY company. She is dedicated, creative, hard working and affable. . . but she doesn't suffer lies and fools well. And this is exactly what gets punished in the modern job market. Guess what? We are not the loyal samurai of the 50's. . . we are not mindless robots. . . and the attitude that "criticism = disloyalty" is exactly what makes work a pain in the ass. . . and by a strange coincidence is the major problem in our political structure at the moment.
