Oh yeah, people might want to know where I am and what I'm doing...
Oh cripes, it's been a while since I updated this, hasn't it? oo
OK, so here's a quick summation of stuff.
I got a new job! =O I now work for BT, employed by Manpower, in the great huge branch of BT here in Dundee. Fun stuff! It's full time, I get paid weekly, and it's daytime hours as well! oo The contract is only until the end of November though x_x However, it's more than likely they should be keeping us all on after that. I mean c'mon, it'll be December. That's like the busiest time of the year.
I turned 23! On the 23rd to be exact. Still haven't received all the stuff folks have got for me, so I'll update on that when I do. Thus far, loot includes:
Sonic Rush Adventure
£20 from my mum, which I spent on Howl's Moving Castle and a nice gilet which has a bajillion pockets.
More stuff to come in the mail
And lastly...
I'm looking for new lodgings on a temporary basis. One of my housemates' parents are coming over for a few months. His mum's had cancer recently. She's already had that treated, but still needs the post-cancer treatment. If they stayed in India, she'd be looking at a 1000-mile round trip each week for check-ups and any necessary additional treatment. So instead, they're gonna move here for three to four months. I agreed to let them have my room whilst here, as our other current housemate in the place already put down 6 months' rent, and the other one due to arrive isn't even back in the country yet. So in a nutshell, I'm now looking for somewhere to rent... fortunately there're a good few promising looking places I'm looking into :3
In other news, Julie's starting college soon, and moving tomorrow. The poor lass is somewhat terrified by the whole prospect, not least because her parents aren't able to even stay a few days with her. I understand how she feels: it was tough for me when I had to move for Uni as well. But yeah, I've been doing what I can to reassure her it'll be fine.
One good thing to come of it is that she told me her dad will be helping her financially by putting a certain amount of money in her account every so often, which, in her words, "...should help me be able to save for certain things, hint hint.". So yeah, with a bit of luck, she may be able to pay me a visit some time in the coming months. This, naturally, would make me a most happy man. X3
