Dr Kawashima says YOU ARE DUMB!
I got Dr Kawashima's Brain Training today for my DS. I have to say, it's actually pretty good, even if it isn't really a game in the traditional sense. The whole idea, as many people may be aware, is to take part in exercises it presents you with to help your brain's fitness. I'm ashamed to say the first time I checked my brain's age on it, I got a score of my brain being in it's 50s. ;_; That said, after some training, it went up to being in it's 30s, which is much better. Thing is, I could feel the parts of my brain it was exercising being used... I got a slight headache from it. XD
Anyway, this thing features multiplayer too. This proved to be great fun, as Ian and I battled it out on round after round of maths quizzes. I kept beating him when his brain kept stalling on some of the puzzles. Anyway, afterward I sent his DS a demo of the game, and he's now yelling various colour names through in his room. Horrifyingly for him, he got a score of his brain being in it's 80s when he first did the test, but in his defence I think that may have been due to the voice recognition not picking up what he was saying correctly each time, so it's not entirely his fault. Oh, and just a few seconds ago he called through that he halved the total, so he's obviously getting better at it.
Needless to say though, this thing is fun. ^^
