IT'S OUT!!!!
YAY!!!! September 30th is the FIRST HOME game!!!!!!!
you know I was talking to Pa and to Drew about how I'm like going thru hockey withdrawls and how i like going to baseball games but it's just not that same....
i miss the energy and the excitement that hockey has.... the sound of skates on ice, the sounds of the guys hitting the boards, the goal being lit up, the goal celebrations, just the crowd being into it....
baseball has none of that.... they don't even have like a set celebration for homeruns.... and yeah the crowd cheers and everything but they don't get on their feet...
anyways the WHL just released the season schedule...
exhibition games start September 1st but those are all in Kent/Everette, Washington... blah i wonder if those will be broadcasted...
Our first season game is the 22nd, but that's away and same for the game on the 23rd...
YAY!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited and i can't wait to go to the season opener.... we've lost 5 maybe 6 players with summer.... 2 were overages last year (Bubnick and Woolger) 3 got their contracts with the NHL (Dubinsky, Funk and Hansen) and 1 might stay in Europe to play pro over there (Balan)...
Our 1st line of forwards are GONE... (Bubnick, Hansen and Dubi) that was the line that got most of the goals.... last season when Dubi was injuried we lost 11 games straight... so I hope this season we have our younger guys like Golin and Hotson step up....
anyways... I'm SOOOO ready for HAWKEY!!!!!!!!!!
