I was cheered up enormously last night by a ridiculous conversation at dinner - those haven't been happening nearly as often as they used to. It started out in philosophy, where some of our phil majors started talking about monads (those being a distinctly Leibnizian idea, considering he wrote Monadology, which they're apparently reading). Somehow

hehe, oh monads...i had to read that last year. of course the discussions i heard were more along the lines of "your mom is a monad" =P
