I'm almost through the three weeks of hell. I've taken one of the tests, I'll get through lab this afternoon somehow, and then I'll take my ELEc test...sometime tonight. After rehearsal, I guess. Hm.
But anyway.
I've been watching Battlestar Galactica (after leaving it off somewhere around the 5th episode of season 1) and made it into the second season. Definite plans to watch more this weekend when I'm not doing set build.
Also, I need to watch Dollhouse for various reasons. 1) Joss Whedon = yes. 2) Tahmoh Penikett = more yes. 3) Eliza Dushku = an additional yes. And to think I used ot mock those who were fans of actors. Problem is that I think it airs on Friday evenings, when I'm usually doing stuff. For instance, I think there's MOB scavenger hunt and A Clockwork Orange in movie club. I guess it's better quality if I get it from the right place online.
Let's see, what else....we seem to finally be done with scheme in my Comp Sci class, which is a blessing, because I really really hated the language. The parentheses meade me go cross-eyed, and it was a pain in the butt to try to do things in just a few lines and I couldn't do two things at the time because I could only return one thing and gaaaaah. I really, really didn't like it.
So here we are, back in Java. Except we're forced to use DrJava and they don't trust us to start working with the real thing - there's no importing of classes, no public or private, no System.out.println...it's not real Java. And this feels sort of insulting, because AP Comp Sci started out with real Java and we kept moving and learning more stuff with it. I really miss it now. :(
My history class continues to be kick-ass awesome. Need to think of an essay topic, and probably start writing it during spring break. (need to read the Leibniz-Clarke correspondences by Monday.)
Oh. In Elec, we're coding in binary. Which isn't bad, per se, but it's just...bemusing i the best word I can think of for it. Surreal, maybe.
And we're having to make plans for next year now. This means that MOB Staff Interviews will start happening soon, and I'll have to figure out which position I'm running for. I need to figure out the rest of my roommates, too (just one left, I hope. Maybe we can just be a group of 3 and have somebody who doesn't care as the last one.). Classes for next semester are out, so I need to start trying to time things and make sure I have a schedule that can work with MOB. I already did my interview to be an O-Week advisor, and I hope I find out soon whether I made it - I'll just apply to be a co-advisor at a different college if I don't make it here. Anime club is drawing up its itenerary for next semester.
(why don't these people realize that we have to survive until April first?)
1 month and 3 days until Beer Bike. (hope I make chug team. I also hope that we decide to try to break the record for largest water balloon fight in the world again. Some Aussies stole it from us!)
