my pet peeve of the day...
What's up with people misspelling my name when its clearly printed RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM?!?!?! I can understand when the Starbucks baristas assume its Jaime, or if I've only said my name on the phone I can understand getting a letter addressed to Jaimie...but when I've just sent you an email that not only has my name written in the body of the email "my name is Jamie Andrade and I'm..." AND in the signature at the bottom, but also has it in part of the email address itself "jamie_andrade@..." there is no good reason to call me Jaime.
I know it's a pretty trivial thing to get peeved about, but it irks me...because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! :P
Now that that is out of my system...you know that saying about the calm before the storm? I think right now I'm experiencing the storm before the calm. My last internship day is Thursday and my last library day is Monday. Between now and then I am working all but one day, have FOUR meetings to attend for Relay, an event to photograph for the magazine, and another event to attend to gather signatures for a petition for ACS. Plus tons of odds n ends I need to get done, picking Margaret up from the airport, and doing errands for my Nana. Thankfully, I requested next Tuesday-Friday off because Jonathan has spring break and we were going to try and go on a little vacation. But since we are both broke, it will just be some low-key relax time that I desperately need before my life gets crazy again. Might even go spend a day in Santa Cruz, which I've been craving for awhile. Just hope I can last. I'm feeling a meltdown coming on...
