(no subject)
Whine #1: When we have a sign on every third table and all over the walls saying that the library is a no-cell-phone zone, why do people insist on looking at me like I'm personally responsible for all the evil in the world when I tell them to take their oh-so-important call to the vestibule? Like every sign says to? Sometimes I want to pick up the sign and whack them in the face with it.
Whine #2: The bus system in Lafayette is just barely sufficient to get me out to my community college for class once a week. However, it stops running two hours before my class is done, so if I take the bus out there, I'm stuck. I'd love to use public transportation more and drive only when absolutely necessary, but the bus system in this town makes that darn near impossible most of the time.
On the plus side, it seems I do not in fact have the plague, but only a cold. I'm feeling better and my lungs are remaining where they should be, in my chest, instead of trying to expel themselves through my trachea as they had been doing the past couple of days.
