.. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 am EST Monday...

* locations... Mohawk Valley... Schoharie valley... northern
Catskills... helderbergs... and much of the Lake George
northern Saratoga region as well as the greater capital
district.

* Hazard types... freezing rain and sleet... changing to snow in the
capital district. Snow... heavy at times... north and west. Snowfall
rates up an inch per hour overnight.

* Accumulations... 5 to 10 inches of snow in valley locations... 10
to 15 inches across the higher terrain. In addition... there will
be could be up to half an inch of ice accretion across the greater
capital district.

* Timing... through tonight.

* Impacts... treacherous travel conditions with snow covered and
icy roads. Scattered power outages are likely... mainly in the
greater capital district.

* Winds... north 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures... dropping to between 20 and 25.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
