Little bits and pieces

Apparently according to morganmuffle (who is probably hung over and in bed at the mo), there are things called email monkeys that makes you check your inbox constantly. I think I have an extra special monsters on my back, because my behaviour cannot be explained otherwise.

I have Atlantis Penguins on my back.

They (they come in pairs, don't you know) constantly force me to check my inbox, f-list, wraithbait, Area 52 and even ff.net for more Atlantis fix. They force me to go through every single stories in the archives, they force me to re-read fics I've re-read before several times, they force me to read all the recs no matter I've already read them before, they force me to re-watch the whole season of Atlantis over and over again and basically force my obsession to yet another whole level all together.

Damn the Penguins.

I was normal and well-adjusted before they came and attached themselves on my back.

Last night I ate an ice cream. This was a special occasion in a number of ways. Most importantly because I ate it without leaning against a hot radiator and covered in a thick blanket like I usually do. On top of that I ate it wearing short sleeves! No fleece or a woolly jumper in sight!

It was also special because it wasn't something that came in a tub, a cone or one of those long plastic-y paper tubing thing. Nope. It was an actual real ice cream on a stick. The reason this is special is because of my teeth. They are sensitive. As in I can't bite the ice cream. Which means I gotta lick, suck and try to bite/chew/swallow using only my lips.

Yeah. Weird, I know.

Anyway because of this invariably I'm a real slow ice cream eater. Hence my love for ice creams that comes with containers to hold my melted ice cream... But because of this was an ice cream on a stick, I knew I had to eat it as quickly as possible.

Do you know how hard it is to eat an ice cream without using teeth? To finish it all before it all melt all over your hand? I managed it. Barely. It was messy. God, was it messy but I managed it.

BUT because I ate it sooooo quickly (quick for me anyhow) and ate it without any source of additional warmth, I was shivering for the whole hour afterwards. And a stomachache for the whole night.

Was it worth it? It was a triple chocolate ice cream with bits of chocolate in it.

You figure it out.
