So who's watching The Newsroom?
I'm mostly watching it for Dev Patel reasons. ria_kukalaka and I do a little cheer whenever Neal gets a good line or has a moment. We're both fed up with Will and Mackenzie love life storyline. Blaaah.
This week's episode was better than others. I hated last week's. As soon as we realised it was going to be about Egypt we hoped for a Neal plot and we got that. And we got the whole thing about Neal and the 7/7. Is he a Brit though? I just kinda assumed he was because unlike Mackenzie nobody mentioned otherwise. Except he talked about never getting a 'college degree' which made me wonder. Or maybe he's just been living there for a long time and got used to saying college rather than university, who knows. It just threw me a little.
One thing I hated more than anything in this episode was when WILL called Amen 'brother'. I mean, WHAT THE HELL. Where does HE get off, a white middle-aged guy, a freaking millionaire, in a perfectly safe office, calling Amen 'brother' who risked his life to report the story? The GALL of him to utter that line, seriously. I had to pause and we kinda ranted about it for a bit before watching the rest.
Urgh.
At least the wikileaks storyline will give us more Neal.
