My expectations were high. The fic was epic in length. I was all ready to dive in and enjoy the hell out of it. And then...

It happened more when I was in SGA. Less so now... Maybe I'm learning how to spot fics that'd disagree with me. Or maybe my standards have slipped. Again. ^^

lol slipped in the right direction, I think *g* when I'm in the first flush of a new fandom or it's very small, I end up reading rubbish that i wouldn't read if there was more choice.

Ah, yes. So very true. Being able to pick and choose is a luxury sometimes. Otherwise, you just have to give up. :D
