Icons. Because I love them.
Same rule as before.
* Reply to this post with the phrase I LOVED YOU ACROSS TIME and I will pick six of your icons.
* Make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
* Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
* This will create a never ending cycle of icon glee.
This time chosen by
ria_kukalaka and
mydocuments.
The icons picked by
ria_kukalaka It's Antithamnion plumula, red algae. I've no idea why I was looking this up but I found the picture of it in my hard drive way later. I made an icon out of it because it's pretty. *scratches head* Seriously. WHY was I researching red algae???
CSI New York, Danny and Mac. I really loved what they did with these two in earlier seasons. The whole trust issues and angst were really awesome. I totally ADORE the Tanglewood arc.
Generation Kill, Nate Fick. ♥ ♥ ♥ This is Nate despairing over Encino Man's epic 'your enemy's the enemy' speech. That brief moment where Nate shows his frustration with the command is just... *pets*
One of my Korea icons. I took the picture of the roof because I loved the curves and colours. Just so beautiful. I visited
Bulguksa last summer with a friend as part of my getting to know my own culture and history thingybob. I wish I had time to visit more places.
Stark Sands, who plays Nate Fick. \o/ The icon is from
this picture. He looks slightly evil in my icon. I don't know why but he's very hot and pretty.
Chosen by
ria_kukalaka and
mydocuments Hathaway! From
Lewis. I love this programme so much. I was a big Inspector Morse fan (both TV and books) and my favourite character has always been Lewis. And it still is. But this icon is of Hathaway hugging his beloved guitar that Lewis found for him after it got stolen. Lewis recovered Hathaway's guitar! Being all sneaky and whatnot all the while trying to solve the case at the same time. It's true love, dude. I can't wait for it to come back next year! \o/

lanningI got it from one of her Halloween batches, I think, quite a few years ago. I love this one because I never get bored of it. I like the feeling it stirs up as well. Something unreal, something just slightly scary and always unsettling.
Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid!!! One of my oldest icons, I think. Not as old as my kitten one but almost. I bought the DVD today because I realised I actually don't own the copy despite loving it so. The friendship between the two makes my heart swell. I love their banter and the way they react to each other. It's actually one of my happy films. :)
Stargate Atlantis brought me David Hewlett as well as one amazing fandom and awesome fangirls. And in the name of David Hewlett, I watched a LOT of random stuff. This icon is from
Nothing, which was directed by Vincenzo Natali (his high school friend) and co-starred Andrew Miller (who was in
Cube with David which was also directed by Natali). The film is... very surreal and funny. The icon is showing David and Andrew's characters playing naughts and crosses.
marynanabananasAh, DNA code. There was a time when sheets and sheets of these things and other science-y stuff (*handwaves*) were a part of my life. Now that I'm far away from that life, I find I'm fond of the whole science-y stuff (*repeats the gesture*) again. Also, it's just truly amazing that LIFE can be coded by just using four letters. It really is one of the most sincerely awesome things EVER.
Doyle!
Doyle is my baby. ♥ ♥ ♥ He's named after my favourite character in Angel.
azicrow and
ria_kukalaka bought him for me for my birthday six years ago. He was a surprise present and to achieve that, they blindfolded me all the way to RSPCA. He's the sweetest and gentlest and quietest dog I know. If I hold out a piece of bacon to him, he'd lick it first and if I don't let go then he'd just sit back down and wait for me to give it to him. I gave him to a friend when keeping him meant he would've had to stay on his own for long periods of time which wasn't fair on him. Now, he's living in Scotland with two other dogs.
