This weekend something wonderful happened... I was surprised with the most awesome birthday gift: a renewed Disneyland deluxe annual pass... and what made it even more awesome is knowing how much everyone who pitched in cares about me. So, everyone deserves a personal THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart... words cannot describe how much it made my day and how special I feel because of you all!!
Ben - Ben, I am grateful to be your friend. You have never failed to be able to cheer me up when I needed it and you were there... and you give some of the most sound advice of any of the friends I've had. Thank you so much.

Gina, the organizer of the gift - There are so many wonderful things I was thinking when you told me of your guys's surprise. Don't think for a minute that it was "no longer a surprise," because like I said on the phone, I can certainly tell you from the bottom of my heart that I was definitely surprised... and incredibly moved. I can't write enough here to really describe how I feel right now... but I can definitely say that I am so grateful to be your friend. Nothing you have done for me, from this, to letting me stay at your and Will's place, to our aim conversations I love, to coming to my installs, to welcoming me into your group... nothing will be forgotten. Though we've become closer friends, the truth is that I look up to you so much that I can't help but feel humbled when I realize how lucky I am to have you as a friend. It is no overstatement on my part when I say that you truly are my real-life role model. If you EVER need cheering up, or just someone to talk to about ANYTHING in the world, Cristina is always here - on aim, on the phone, IRL, wherever you need her to be - and Cristina will never stop listening and doing her best to be the best friend she can possibly be.
