a little ficlet

I was watching Disney's Beauty and the Beast the other day and there was a little bitty scene at the end which sparked a little ficlet. I don't usually post my fanfiction in my journal, but this one... it seems to be appropriate. It's unbeta'd so let me know if you see anything untoward. Chip says, "Maman" because, after all, this is France.

I love the realism you've used - the fact it's been years since they were human, Maurice and Mrs Pott's love-lives, the way they are. So much more developed and three-dimensional and so realistic, yet true to form.
