(no subject)
hm... I haven't updated this thing in a while..... let's see, quite a bit has gone on so... I'll just highlight the major points...
Went to Miami. Big Fun. I flew out Thursday, arrived late Thursday evening. Zack had to work part of the day Friday which was alright, since I slept all day. At around lunchtime he came back and took me to lunch for about 2 hours, and then he went back to work and I slept some more. Late Friday afternoon, one of his coworkers girlfriends called me (I hung out with her when she came to California last August to visit her bf who was working out here with Zack) and she took me out drinking. Zack called us and met up with us. Then we went back to her house and she cooked us dinner, Dan came home from work and hung out a little while but had to go to bed because he was flying out early the next morning to build a studio for the Russian Mafia in the Bahamas... Saturday we woke up late, and drove 4 hours to Key West... We got there right before sunset and were lucky enough to find a nice spot in Mallory Square to watch... Then we ate at some expensive Cuban restaurant, wandered Key West, bought some Key Lime Pie (we took it home because we were way too full from dinner to eat more)... it was alot of fun... we arrived back at the house around 2 a.m. and I had to fly out at 8 a.m., so we were both quite tired. I managed to get on the flight out of Miami, but I got stuck in Denver for about 8 hours. No fun. I spent most of the day talking on the phone to Zack while sitting in the airport, and met some woman who had just dumped her boyfriend on my cell phone, and then she disappeared and wanted me to watch her fur coat for her. Well she ended up missing the flight because I had to board and she never came back. I feel bad about leaving her coat behind but I wanted to get home! Well I ended up flying to Burbank and not to LAX, and my car is parked in Van Nuys (so I can take the airport bus TO LAX) so Zack called his roommate and had him pick me up from Burbank and take me to Van Nuys.. (it's about a 10 minute drive)...so that was really cool of Joe to do that... Miami wasn't that great though, just a big city full of Cubans and gay people... *ponders* I enjoyed visiting Zack though, especially since we were cramped in a twin bed. awwwwww.....
I'm not sure if anything cool happened after that. But on April 8, Zack and I went to see ANTHRAX play at the Whisky... MAN that was cool.... I STILL have bruises on my arm from drunken, long haired 80's metal guys crashing into me... (no mosh pitting for me, but I still felt it since I was between the bar and the moshpit...eeep!)... Anthrax put on an incredible show... Joshua Todd (former lead singer of Buck Cherry) opened for them, and I really dug his stuff.... it sounded great and was hard.... this other rap metal band opened and I didn't really dig them, so whatever... Anthrax was fucking cool.... it was funny though, when I was driving down to LA for the show, I passed my friend Veronica on the freeway... and I tried honking, waving, calling her and I couldn't get in contact with her so I just passed her and did my thing... well, after talking to her later on, she was in Hollywood that night too at the Rainbow.... well, the Rainbow is right next to the Whisky, so if I'd known we could've hung out.... crazzzzy.... but yeah, I'm still stoked that I got to see Anthrax.. :)
On April 15, Zack and I drove down to Orange County to see HED PE... they were playing at the HOB-Anaheim in Downtown Disney.... and we met up with Braden and Taylor from his band... that was a great show, but I don't remember it too well.... Zack and I bought two 1 litre bottles of coke, and a pint of Jack Daniels and well, the rest is history. Half a pint of Jack later and a few Cape Cods later, I was pretty shitfaced, so I don't remember the show much.... I do remember some pretty hot stuff went down in the backseat of Bradens car AND in the parking lot afterwards! (ohhhh!!!!) Gotta love digital cameras and deserted parking lots... (hm, thats the closest I'm going to get to getting action at Disneyland, it'll never happen in the park since there's so many security cameras).... I <3 my boyfriend...
Zack and I nearly broke up last week... it was crazy... just alot of drama went down and well, I don't feel like elaborating right now.... (it's a really looooooooooooong story) but we overcame and now we're stronger than before.... I really do love him so much, and I'm really happy with him. I am sad though for the moment since he's in Vegas wiring a studio for Penn & Teller... apparently Penn has a band and wants a studio in his house so his band can record stuff. I got to help with the pre-wiring though! So I was cutting wire, putting insulation on wires, putting connectors on, etc. It was big fun... lol... but he left yesterday afternoon at around 7 and got there at about 11... He called me a few times during his drive since it is a boring drive.... a long 4 hours in the desert.... I might go see him this weekend though, depending on if he can get some time off or not...
I applied for a new job. It's with a company called Forecast Homes, they build housing tracts on mostly the east coast, Arizona and southern California. If I get this job, I could make around $20/hr.... NIIIICE... I'm hoping I do, because I found out that they're hiring alot of people, AND I know 3 people who work there already. We're all good friends so they're going to help me out... they ALL used to work with me at the county, and switched over there so now I'm jumping on the bandwagon... Plus I'll get full medical benefits, retirement, etc... So thats exciting... And I've been running 2 miles a day. Actually I'm up to about 2.5 miles a day, but I think tonight I'm going to kick it up to 3 miles... :) good times....
