In no specific order:

  • Some people actually do use the YYMMDD date format
  • Apparently the general assembly of my homeowners association (of which I'm a board member, no less) was yesterday. On 090708. Just like it said it would be.

I'll now go stand in the corner and wear the fools hat. Bah.

Here if I used the YYMMDD date format they would think I was dyslexic.

As for the Board meeting, can you get the minutes? I'm sure others have missed a meeting or 100. :D My Dad was V.P. on his homeowners association but quit because he said his neighbors were nuts when they got together. They didn't listen to what anyone said, well one lady in particular (a loud mouth) usually took over and nobody else got a word in edgewise. Do you find that at your meetings? Probably depends on your building.

I've been known to use YYMMDD when writing file names, because it makes sorting easy.

YYYYMMDD would make sense there - it being an ISO standard and all

I wish there was one standardized way to do dates and that one might not me so bad!

You could always say you were there in September of 2008 and went home because no one showed ;)
