Here are some pics to match the School Festival post of earlier!
Unfortunately, the pics I have from Kanita are all in hard copy. I'll put them up if I ever get my hands on a scanner (or the pics taken by the Kanita teachers), but until then, here are some good ones from Tairadate! ^^
Wa
The kanji for "harmony"/"happiness" that was the theme of Tairadate JH Bunkasai (school festival)
*Note: this is about half the size of the backdrops I helped the students tear up during cleanup time ^^Tairadate JH Student Body
That's it. EVERYONE. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders of Tairadate Junior High. I believe this is either during or right before they did their choral thing...which would explain why those people are STANDING UP AND BLOCKING MY SHOT. :\
TJH Fan Art 2
...And here we have...Spongebob *shudders*, along with an anime character, another kanji fan, a sakura (cherry blossom) fan, and...PANDAKOON!
I came up with Pandakoon when I was at Osaka, and when I went to the 1st grade art class a few weeks ago at Tairadate JH, I drew him for 2 of my students.* Miho loved him (and happened to be struggling for a design idea at the time), so she took the drawing and made it into the fan...much to my surprise. I thought she just wanted the drawing. ^^;
On the top it says "uchuujin?" which means "alien?" Under "Pandakoon" is written "Pandakoon" in Japanese, and then at the bottom I...actually don't know what she wrote. ^^;
*Note: Pandakoon is not actually supposed to be blue and pink, but black and white...hence the "panda" part of his name.Tsuruya Sensei Tea Ceremony
This is my neighbor (the good JTE) Tsuruya-sensei taking a cup of green tea from the students at a tea ceremony station set up in the gym
My Kawaii Ichinensei
Three of my 1st year students--Miho and Aoi in front are two of my favorites among the schools (this is the same Miho that made the Pandakoon fan :)Ninensei
Some of my second year students--I don't know exactly what they're doing, on account of the fact that I just wandered into this room looking for pictures to take before my battery died. ^^;
Takumi-kun
Takumi is one of Suzuka's older brothers (and one of my 2nd years that actually puts forth effort in class). He was wearing these sunglasses for the skit the 2nd years were putting on. I herded him against the wall to snag a shot before he could get away. ^^My Polished San-nensei
Four of my 3rd year students dressed in yukata (summer kimono) for the 3rd year skit. This was during an intermission, so these four ended up at the piano looking over some music they were scheduled to play later...actually I think the two sitting are the ones who did the playing.
Aaaand a shot of the Demolition Team ^^
As usual, there are more pics up in the gallery, which can be found at the following link:

That's it for now. Later!
