I did a class. I probably would not have done it at home (I'm just not motivated to do stuff like this by myself).

I wore sweatpants and a t-shirt (no socks).

I did power yoga first, because that was what was offered, but hatha yoga would be my first choice for a beginner, or some sort of gentle yoga.

It took me a few weeks to feel comfortable.

Yes, my limbs shook.

I did yoga one week post-op earlier this year. I had to modify a lot of things and really listen to my body, but it was *fine* and I felt fantastic afterwards.

I'm going to see if I can find something at WalMart today to wear. I have some bike shorts that I can wear if I can't find anything else but my legs need waxed like WHOA! I worry about the dumbest things.

Close-fitting is better, and not-cotton is better.

Close-fitting because then it stays put/doesn't ride up/down; not-cotton because synthetics tend to dry faster/breathe better when you sweat.

I'm thinking of going with a tank top sort of thing instead of a tshirt. Any thoughts?

The one time I was in that room it was blistering hot.

I usually wear a tankish-type top with a sweatshirt over top, because I get cold at the beginning and at the end, but hot when I am actually moving.

WalMart had only a couple of tanks, all cotton. I got one because they are only $3 but I'll keep my eye out for something better.
