Sorry to hear you are feeling so "cold." Reminds me of our sunny trip to the tropical isle of Hawaii where it proceeded to rain and be freezing for 10 days in our drafty house with no blankets or doors. I don't envy you.
Try putting your blanket and socks in the oven for a few minutes and then wrapping up in them. Or heat a rock. That's what they did in the olden days - sounds like there is no shortage of rocks there.
Even if I weren't getting married in three weeks and moving the first week of March, I don't think I would be in a hurry to visit Jordan, after reading your descriptions of your trip so far. I have enough trouble being cheerful in my own zip code when things don't go the way I want them to. I know this must be a big surprise to you, since I have been so stoic all these years. Heh, heh.
I will keep the home fires burning, or at least keep the thermostat in the comfort zone. Shall I send you your shiny blanket?
