home is where the fridge is
I've noticed something interesting. Since the remodeling project in the house started, my family has kind if drifted apart. The kitchen was always a gathering place, sort of a default location. If you didn't have anything specific to do, or wanted to find out what was going on, you went to the kitchen. There was usually someone there, either cooking, eating, or reading the paper at the table.. it's where mail was sorted and handed out, and where announcements were made. And oh yeah, we ate there too!
Now, we don't have anywhere to congregate, so everyone is in his/her own separate corner. Sometimes it's hard to tell who is even home. Between that and lack of a shower I have easy access to, I want this DONE!
