Prompt: Animorphs, Tobias, advice for his past self

He's not sure if this the Ellimist or Crayak or something else entirely messing with him, or if he's dreaming. But on the off chance that he's actually gone back in time six years, to some night before he and a group of kids he barely knew met the alien that turned out to (ridiculously) be his father, Tobias lands on the windowsill. His aunt is out for the evening (as always) so Tobias taps on the glass with his beak.

His human self looks so young. Thirteen years old. Never hit his growth-spurt, if he was going to have one. He doesn't remember how it felt to be human. Hasn't morphed human since... he can't remember.

The boy peers nervously through the curtain. He doesn't remember how it felt to be nervous. He's wary as a hawk, cautious but nervous? He doesn't actually feel much these days.

"Whoa," the boy murmurs.

Tobias taps on the glass again.

"What?" the boy asks. "You wanna come in?"

Tobias nods.

The boy raises his eyebrows, but Tobias knows that he was dangerously curious as a human. He was depressed, and angry, and living mostly day to day, but also so curious about everything. He read to lose himself in other places, in other people, because he hated his existence. He still had hope that he'd get somewhere.

Tobias sometimes misses being this boy.

There's so much he could warn him about. Where to even start? On the off-chance this isn't a dream...

The boy reaches for the latch.

Prompt: White Collar/Chuck, Neal + Bryce, two brothers on a hotel bed

They'd planned, once, to always stay together, to become better than their parents, to be rich and happy. They just disagreed on how to do it.

Brendan thought the best way was to work the system, to slip through the cracks, to take advantage of the loop holes. He got into Stanford with someone else's name, someone else's money, and he somehow (never was sure how) caught the CIA's attention. He'd thought they'd found him out, but instead they offered him a job.

Noah told him not to take it. Noah had been living in New York with his own fake name, slowly earning himself a reputation as a con artist and forger.

They always planned to return to each other, with their own ideas on how to find their happy ending, the one they dreamed of together, whispering into the dark, curled around each other beneath their bed.

"I told you not to work for the CIA," Neal tells a headstone above an empty grave.

He'll never forgive Brendan for leaving him behind.

Prompt: Sherlock BBC, Sherlock + Jim or Sherlock/Jim, we're alike, you and i

"I know why you don't like me," the ghost tells him, sing-songing, smirking.

"There are multiple reasons," he says, focusing on his phone. Mycroft, out of guilt, updates him daily on John's condition. John is still demanding that the authorities realize their mistake, but Sherlock has little hope in that regard.

He must prove his innocence himself, and that can only be done by rooting out every little bit of Moriarty's organization.

"Yes, of course," the ghost giggles. "Denial isn't the healthy thing, you know."

"Be helpful or be silent," he orders.

The ghost grins at him. "Of course, love."

Prompt: Dark Angel, Max +/ Alec (+Ben), she thought she was seeing a ghost

She stares at him sometimes, seeing her brother. She barely knew the man her brother became, only that he was... sick. Wrong. She killed him to save him, and it will always haunt her.

They wanted to see if it was genetic, Alec told her irreverently, before he was Alec.

How much of Ben is in Alec? How much of a person is their experiences? She and Sam are nothing alike, are they? Had her siblings all stuck together that night, would they still be the same people they are now? Better?

How well does she know Alec? Better than she knew Ben, and isn't that a chilling thought.

"What's wrong?" Alec asks.

She shrugs. "Nothing."

Prompt: Prompt: Leverage, Sophie, Sophie's favorite myth or legend and why she likes it

There is a story that hasn't been told yet. One day, it'll be whispered by breathless con artists who've just begun, by art thieves and forgers, by anyone in the game.

There was a crew, once, the greatest in the world-a hacker, a hitter, a grifter, a thief, and the brains behind it all. Each of them were the best, and they also learned to play each other's part, and there was absolutely nothing they couldn't do. The stole things that were unstealable, and they hacked the unhackable, and they never got caught.

It surely can't be true, some doubters would say.

They had Eliot Spencer,, the hitters say, and Parker! the thieves chime in, and Hardison, the hackers add, while the grifters sigh, and Sophie Devereaux.

What about the brains? the doubters ask.

No one knows, everyone says.

There are rumors, now. Hearsay. But it'll be legend soon enough.
