Prompt: Gibbs/Tony, one of them is a vampire

As soon as they pulled up to the crime scene, Tony groaned, "Oh, shit, seriously?"

McGee and Ziva exchanged looks and Gibbs raised a brow. "Something wrong, DiNozzo?"

"No, boss," Tony replied immediately, glancing around. "I'll go talk to the local LEOs, see what's goin' on."

They watched him leave for a moment before Gibbs said, "Let's get to work."

It was half an hour before Tony came back, clearly annoyed if not outright angry. His words were bitten off and sharp, and he glared at the crime scene as though it'd done him wrong. He didn't explain why, though, just told them everything the cop had said.

Then, mid-word, Tony froze. He jerked his head up, gaze darting around, and he focused in on some looky-loo. Gibbs followed his gaze to a fairly forgettable man, and Tony practically snarled, "Gotcha."

The next moment, Tony was completely back to normal. If Gibbs wasn't seeking it out, he'd have never seen the rage in Tony's eyes.

Tony showed up at the basement that night, blood beneath his fingernails.

Their investigation had gone nowhere. Whoever ripped the marine apart, he or she couldn't seem to be found, and everyone except Tony had been on edge, annoyed, and frustrated.

"Boss," Tony said quietly.

"Were you ever gonna tell me, DiNozzo?" Gibbs asked, turning to face him.

Tony shrugged. "Maybe. One day."

Gibbs nodded. "Well," he said, "c'mon in."

Smiling, Tony did.

Prompt: Jason, he had always hoped to get away from his mother.

When he was seven, one night Jason actually dreamed his mother's death. He was so happy--he woke up excited to face the day, ready to finally do something he wanted to do, like play touch football with the servants' kids... but there she was, alive and smiling at him, at her darling boy, her pawn in a game he would never fully understand and finally decided he didn't want to.

He really hates the word darling. But then, he hates a lot of things.

Jason knows how he will die. But he still never gives up wishing, wanting, waiting... he knows he'll never be free, but he hopes...

Prompt: Gabriel (+ or / any, if desired), he fears someone is going to figure out what he's done.

Gabriel still thinks he can be saved. All it would take is someone-anyone-noticing what he's doing-so much blood, so many tears-and he can still be saved. Rescued from the hunger, from the power and the pain, from the begging and screaming and damning desire.

Gabriel still thinks he's a good man. Someone doing his best to live quietly, to not hurt others, to simply exist without harm. Gabriel still thinks there's hope for him.

Gabriel thinks that a good steak dinner with potatoes can fill him up, sate him, send him to bed happy, and Mom is just the person to make him that meal.

(Sylar knows better. Sylar knows he can't be saved, that he never could've been, and it doesn't matter if anyone figures out what he's doing. Soon enough, he'll be so powerful that no one can stop him.

Gabriel thinks he's normal. Sylar knows better.

Sylar knows just how special Gabriel truly is, and he's waiting to show the world.)

Prompt: Dean; he wants his brother to be happy, but he also wants him to stay by his side

Sam won't be safe in Stanford. Dad and Dean both know that, and so does Sam, when he's not being stubborn. Sam won't be safe in Stanford, but he's not safe with them, either. No one is safe anywhere because evil is everywhere, but at least with Dad and Dean, they can help when something tries to eat him.

Stupid, stubborn Sam. He's Dad's son, alright. Self-righteous, arrogant, always gotta be right.

Both of them, so goddamned stubborn.

Sam won't be safe in Stanford. But he might be happy. Away from Dad, he might be happy. Away from Dean... away from hunting. It's not the same as leaving Dean, Sam's assured him of that, but Dean knows better.

Sammy can't remember Mama, or that night, or how the fire roared, reaching for them. Sammy doesn't remember Daddy, just Sir. So Sam wants Stanford and normal and safe and he doesn't know, can't know, not yet, that safe is a myth. Just a fantasy, and away from Dad and Dean, he won't have back-up. He'll be alone.

But he might be happy. And it's not like Dean's gonna be that far. He'll check up on the kid, and he'll have some people he knows stay close to Sam.

Stupid, stubborn Sam.

So Dean watches him board the bus, even though the kid doesn't know (already letting your guard down, Sammy, bad form), and he lets his baby brother go.

Prompt: Eliot/any or Eliot + team, he was sure that someday they were going to realize what a monster he was an abandon him

He's a killer. That's what retrieval specialist really means. He's a goddamned killer-for-hire who's wanted in a dozen countries and a person-of-interest in a dozen more. He's dangerous with too much blood on his hands to ever wash off, and they'll realize it one day, this team that's become family, they'll figure out what he is, what he's done, and they'll-

They'll turn away. They'll turn him out. They'll wash their hands of him and be done.

And he knows he'll go. Because they deserve better than him, Hardison and Parker and Sophie. Even Nate, really, no matter what Nate's become these days.

When they finally decide to get rid of him, he'll go. But he won't go far because, no matter what else he is, he's the best at what he does, and even though as a person he's not good enough for them, he'll stay close enough to keep them safe.

He just won't let them see him do it.

(And yeah, he knows exactly how it'll end. He wouldn't have it any other way.)
