Prompt: Michael&(/)Lucifer, working out their differences.

Lucifer paces around the edges of the cage while Sam rests deep within. Michael stands in the center, turning to keep his eyes on his brother, arms crossed and expression either annoyed or angry, Lucifer's not sure. Probably both.

Michael doesn't speak. Lucifer keeps silent.

Time passes and finally Sam unfurls from his sleep, taking control with ease.

"He wasn't lying, you know," Sam says, stretching.

Michael doesn't respond. Adam's burning out like the poor bastard Lucifer wore before Sam, and Sam walks over to him, looks him in the eye. "Can you let Adam go?" Sam asks softly.

Michael flicks him a glance. "Adam is in Heaven," he says.

Sam sighs in relief. "Good," he says. "That's good."

Turning away, he recedes again. Maintaining control is hard, with Lucifer filling every part of him.

Lucifer gazes at his brother, looking past the shell. So long without seeing Michael, away from the wonders and glories of Heaven, and just being near Michael's grace...

"You would have won," Michael says suddenly. "I should have stood with you, and you would have won when I didn't."

Lucifer smiles, and deep inside, Sam shifts, missing his brother.

Prompt: Gabriel & Chuck, author's choice

"I always knew you had a sense of humor, Pa," he says, peering over Chuck's shoulder. "Just look at the platypus. That's a big honkin' clue."

Chuck sighs, long-sufferingly, and pushes back from the desk. "I'm glad to see your brother didn't do any permanent damage, Gabriel," Chuck says.

Gabriel chuckles, offering Chuck a Hershey bar. "So what's the plan, Dad? Luci's back in his cage, but Mikey and Sammy are with him, too. And Dean…" Gabriel laughs aloud. "He's some pissed at you, bucko."

Smiling, Chuck takes the chocolate. "You are refreshing," he says, breaking a piece off. "No one has ever spoken to me like you do." He pauses, considering that. "Well, besides the Winchesters, of course."

Gabriel nods, smirking. "Those two do have a way with words." When Chuck doesn't say anything else, Gabriel asks, "So, the plan?"

Chuck simply smiles, breaking off another piece. Gabriel rolls his eyes and waits.

Pairings: implied Cougar/Jensen
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 320
Point of view: third
Prompt: any pairing or gen (but I would like Cougar/Jensen), there's a fine line between going rogue and going darkside

Of them all, Pooch is the least likely to lose it completely. He's got a wife and a baby waiting for him, and they will always come first; Clay, Jensen, and Cougar know that. Aisha's already closer to the edge-hell, considering who her daddy was, they're all pretty sure she's crossed it at one time or another.

Clay may spout all that we're the good guys, only going after bad guys, and we'll clear our names, and it'll be sunshine and puppies and American Fourth of July barbecues, goddamn it, but they know better.

It started with them going after Max. Clearing their names. Getting Pooch home. And it changed. Hell, Jensen had flirted with the line before, hacking into anything he wanted, playing with people from thousands of miles away. And how many people did they kill in Miami?

Cougar's got a past he won't talk about, Clay's getting less concerned about collateral damage by the day, Aisha's just all-around terrifying, and Pooch...

Jensen knows that Clay's gonna cut Pooch loose soon. Tell him to sit this one out, stay home to barbecue with his wife and kid. He's got the best chance of them all. All Jensen really cares about is his sister and niece and the team. Cougar.

So, yeah. Clay'll tell Pooch to stay home and then he'll offer the rest of them a choice, Jensen and Cougar and Aisha.

It's a fine line between going rogue and going darkside. Rogue is just to clear your name, if the higher ups are bastards with their own agenda who hurt innocents. But darkside…

Pooch is the best of them. Jensen knows that. Jensen's always been a little off-center, a little too smart, too impulsive. He needs someone to follow. Someone who makes the decisions, tells him what to do. So he'll stay with Clay, as long as Cougar does, no matter what Clay is doing.

Pairings: Dean/Sam
Rating: R
Point of view: third
Wordcount: 145
Prompt: vamp!Dean and vamp!Sam + Adam, they find their brother

Sam learned about him in a vision, his first since this whole thing started, and he could taste how perfect the kid would feel sliding down his throat.

Dean had grumbled but couldn't refuse Sam anything-so little has actually changed, Sam knows, except that when whoever the fuck comes for Dean shows up, he'll rip them apart because no one is taking his brother, no one, not ever, Dean is his all the way to his marrow.

"Tell me this kid's name," Dean says, nipping at Sam's jugular.

"Adam," Sam mutters. "Adam Milligan. He's our baby brother, Dean."

Dean skims his mouth lower, pressing a kiss to where Sam's heart used to beat. "Let's welcome him to the family, then, Sammy," Dean chuckles.

Sam grins, pulling Dean up to kiss him properly, already wondering how much pain it'll take to make Adam scream.

Pairings: implied Wyatt/Chris
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 115
Point of view: third
Prompt: Any, any pairing, "Say the magic words and I'll destroy the world for you."

Chris almost gets away. Half a second quicker and he would've. Maybe he'd have even changed things, then. But this world and everything in it are Wyatt's, and he keeps what's his. Soon enough, Chris even forgets what the big deal was.

He knows that what Wyatt's doing is wrong, he just doesn't remember why it matters, and when Wyatt unchains him and leads him into the sunlight, clearing away the smog and the smoke, he turns Chris to face him and promises, "If you need me to, I'll destroy the world and rebuild it however you like."

Chris doesn't know what he's done to deserve such devotion, but he'll make damn sure he's worthy.
