Bonjour! or 'Ello!
I'm studying about the British and French relations in Africa in the late 19th century at the moment - to sum it up, IT WAS NOT GOOD! *shakes head in disappointment*
Anyways, I am finally going to be on Fall Break starting tomorrow and I am looking forward to writing the several fanfic ideas I've had swirling around in my head for the past few weeks. Sadly, I've been way too busy to do anything else but school work. But now I will be free for five days to do anything that is NOT school work.
So, for the initiation of my Fall Break, I present the first half of a new fic and a new pairing of mine. :-) Hope someone likes it!
Title: You Make Me A Better Man, 1/2
Author: me
Pairing: Oscar/Andy
Fandom: The Office (US)
Rating: PG-13 (for this chapter)
Summary: Setting with "Business Trip", Oscar hauls a very drunk Andy back to his hotel room and stuff happens (I'm a terrible summarizer)
Disclaimer: I DO NOT own these characters at all. They belong to the creators of The Office and no one else. This is strictly fiction!
An hour later after the infamous call to Angela, Oscar was nearly carrying Andy to his hotel room. Andy must have had more to drink, Oscar thought.
“Angela is probably pissed at me now.” Andy said, laughing uncontrollably.
“Yeah, but that was pretty brave of you to stand up to her. She’s got claws, man.” Oscar told him, adjusting his grip on Andy’s torso. “I hope my egging you on , though, doesn’t screw things up for you two.”
“Bah!” Andy swung his arm, which was supposedly a gesture. Oscar wasn’t exactly sure. “Don’t worry about it. I needed to do that! And who cares if she gets her panties in a twist about it. Its not like she’s shown any care at all for what I do!” He ranted a little too loudly.
“Well said!” Oscar praised him.
They stumbled down one more hallway before they came to Andy’s room.
“I’m sorry about not getting you laid tonight, bro.” Andy muttered.
“Why? It’s not your responsibility. And besides, those guys seemed like major dickheads.” Oscar began to feel around in Andy’s jacket pocket for the room key.
Andy moved a bit so that Oscar had better access. “Yeah, they were! I mean, who would not want to sleep with you? You are one awesome dude!”
Oscar smiled, touched by the compliment. “Thanks, man.” He finally got a hold of the key and opened the door. He dragged Andy to the bed and helped him sit upright on the edge.
“Seriously!” Andy blurted out, as if he had not finished his statement. “I mean it… you are totally handsome…courteous and thoughtful…smart and sexy.”
This made Oscar pause and look down at his drunken co-worker intently. Andy’s eyes met his, though not entirely focused.
“What?” Andy asked with a half smile.
Oscar’s eyebrows furrowed. “You think I’m sexy?” Perhaps, it was just the alcohol talking, he wondered.
“Sure!” Andy replied.
This sudden confession was a bit of a shock to say the least, and Oscar allowed it to linger in his mind for a moment. He never thought there was a shred of possibility that he would come across another gay employee at Dunder Mufflin. Even though, statistically, yes there should be more, but Oscar cared little for most of the people there, so thought it was not worth the effort to keep a look out.
Oscar’s thoughts came to a halt when he felt Andy loosely grab at his waist and press his cheek to his chest.
“Whoa! Andy…what are you doing?” Oscar asked, startled.
Andy snickered a bit. “I get a little clingy when I’m drunk. Sorry…I’ll let go soon.”
Oscar smiled lightly. He found Andy’s child-like quirks to be quite adorable, actually. “That’s okay. Its pretty late, so I should probably get going…” He started to move away, and then Andy’s grip tightened around him.
“Wait! Don’t go yet!” Andy protested. “I forgot to ask you something.”
“Yeah? What is it?”
Andy looked up at Oscar with a barely readable expression. “Do you think I’m sexy?”
Oscar sighed, cocking his head to the side. “You know what, Andy?” He smiled, bringing his hands up to rest on Andy’s shoulders. “Despite your naïveté and childish ways, you can be very cute.”
A wide grin spread across Andy’s face. “Really?”
“Yes.” Oscar chuckled lightly. “You are the only person I know who can make up a sentence using words from three different languages, and people can still figure out what you’re saying. You astound me.” Andy giggled, which made Oscar laugh heartily and shake his head. Then Oscar carefully brought his hand up to brush a thumb across Andy’s cheek. He stared intently down at him, finding him to be more and more attractive as the seconds pass.
A mental note quickly fell into Oscar’s mind, telling him that it is not wise to get romantically involved with co-workers. Think about what the others at the office would say or do if they were to hear of this! Oh, the humiliation that would come of this! But then, what about Pam and Jim? They’ve survived, why couldn’t he and Andy? Oscar shook his head. But there is another matter to consider as well: Angela. Not to mention, the reality of Andy’s sexuality. Was he really gay? Oscar did not want to be seen as the person who took advantage of his straight co-worker.
As if he could hear the conflict playing out in Oscar’s head, Andy says nonchalantly, “Please…stay with me…”
Oh, God, I’m going to regret this, Oscar thought. Then, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to Andy’s.
