Faux-News University - a Meme
Hey!
Taking another break from major school work to do silly stuff on LJ. :-P
I realized earlier that I have not done a Meme with TDS-TCR in a while. I was watching the movie Accepted the other day and thought of how awesome it would be if Jon and Stephen and everybody else in the gang were professors at a university! So I came up with a University meme where I had to pick a subject for each of them to teach and explain why I chose it. I had a lot of fun doing it! I hope other people like it! :-)
~Faux-News University~
President of University - George Carlin
This was an easy choice because George is the head-honcho of comedians, so he deserves to be the principal. Plus, it would be fun to be sent to his office if you got in trouble, ya know? Heehee! :-D
Psychology - Jon Stewart
I didn’t have much trouble choosing Jon’s subject (though I did almost give him the Political Science class but then changed my mind) because Psychology is what he studied in college. Plus, Jon is very in-tuned with how humanity works and how diverse it is. Jon would make the best Psychology teacher EVER!!! I LOVE YOU, JON! (okay enough of that). <3
History - Stephen Colbert
I was quite partial to the idea of Stephen teaching History because that was the subject that Chuck Noblet taught in the Strangers With Candy series. So, I was quick to choose History for Stephen. Heehee! (FYI - History is my college major. Yay!) I can just picture Stephen yelling at the students and constantly belittling them like Noblet does! Haha! Oh, I love it! XD
Drama - Lewis Black
I almost made Lewis, Dean of Arts and Sciences, because he’s like the second head-honcho of comedians, but then I really wanted him to teach a class (especially after watching Accepted). So, I decided to have Lewis teach Drama class, since he has written many plays. Oh, Drama class with Lewis would be so much fun!!! XD (I <3 Lewis)
Art - Paul Dinello
Oh, Paul! Art is his calling. Heehee! Well, for the same reason that I made Stephen teach History, I made Paul teach Art class because of Geoffrey Jellineck’s class in Strangers With Candy. I can just picture Paul being narcissistic and tell his students’ art is terrible and everything. Haha! ;-P
French - Amy Sedaris
I’m not sure exactly why I chose Amy to teach French, beyond the fact that French is my second favorite subject in school and I absolutely LOVE Amy. So they go well together, I think! :-)
Religious Studies - Bill Maher
This was a no-brainer! Haha! I mean, c’mon! ;-P What else would he be more passionate about than religion? He’s so good at it to! I seriously would love to take Religious Studies course where Bill was teaching it! Oh, it would be so much FUN! XD
btw, there was no way I was making Bill teach Health class. I don’t think I could allow him near a Health class… (I <3 Bill)
English - John Oliver
John teaching English class? But of course! ;-) He would have the students read all kinds of great books like Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, to Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, to Howards End by E.M. Forster, and a bunch of Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets. Oh, I love John teaching English! XD
Gym class/P.E. - Rob Riggle
I know there really is no Gym class in college but I just had to have Rob R. teach some sort of Physical Education course. Rob is so muscular and athletic-looking that I thought he was the best choice for teaching Gym class. I hated Gym class in High School, but I think if Rob taught it, I would absolutely love it! :-D
Sociology - Aasif Mandiv
Oh, Aasif, I adore him so much! I don’t know exactly why, but I could just picture Aasif teaching Sociology. It just fit well in my mind. ^_^
Calculus - Jason Jones
Jason! Hehe! This choice still doesn’t fit 100% in my mind but it will have to do because I can’t leave Jason out of the group! ;-)
Speech - Samantha Bee
The same thing goes for Sam. I didn’t know exactly what to have her teach but I could NOT leave her out. So, I came up with Speech class. I can see her doing a good job at it too. :-)
Biology - Ed Helms
Okay, I saved the major sciences specifically for Ed and Rob C. because they are such nerds and I love them for it! ^_^
Ed would be so funny teaching Biology class! I can just imagine the week in the semester where they dissect frogs! Ed trying to explain the anatomy of the frog would be frickin’ hilarious!! Hahaha!!! XD
Chemistry - Rob Corddry
The other major science was Chemistry and so I had to give it to Rob. Rob would be so awesome and funny at teaching Chemistry class!! Can’t you see him blowing up something? Hahaha!!! XD
Health - Steve Carell
Last but definitely not least, I had to give Steve a class to teach. And what class would be better than Health? Heehee!! ;-P
