Putin exposed Ukraine in violating the ceasefire
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukrainian troops continue fighting, though a truce was declared on June 20, reports “Interfax”.
“Tonight we have seen enough artillery activity on the Ukrainian side, I do not presume to say who does it, but it happens,” - said Putin.
According to the Russian president, to resolve the crisis situation in Ukraine is possible only through negotiations. “It is imperative for those people living in the south-east of Ukraine to feel that they are an integral part of the country, that they have all the rights of citizens of the state, including the guaranteed basic rights set in the Constitution of the country,” - said Putin.
Putin supported the decision of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to announce a truce for a week. At the same time the Russian leader said that the Ukrainian authorities should avoid giving an ultimatum to the people.
