[Seeing how people with abilities account for everyone in his family Kevas is taking a very special interest in this.]

Just how dangerous is he?

Stable tower if you wouldn't mind.

[He's not there at the moment but it's a place he knows and trusts.]

[Anna’s expression is carefully masked as she regards the being in front of her. He isn’t one she is as intimately familiar with as, say, Dastan or Nick - and to be perfectly frank she is even reluctant to call those two friends. She distances herself and lately has been purposefully pulling back from Dastan.

His physical similarities to her Jack are too startling.]

I will tell you what you want to know, you need only ask the right questions, Señor. He is capable of a great many things, but I believe he has significantly less power here, as we all do.

[Were this any other situation Kevas would offer her a drink, maybe even do some flirting, but as it is Kevas is all business right now. Anything that can be a threat to his family needs to be examined and then dealt with.]

What exactly can he do? What be makin' do mon so danguhrous?

To understand him, you first must understand a bit about us, as Misfits - and my world.

[She folded her arms in front of her.]

Back home, he is…not quite leader, but very high in ranks, yes? Of the government group I told you about, Facility. It is…a bad place. A very, very bad place that came into existence when Misfits did. Initially, no one knew what to do with us - the first one was discovered in 2025 in New Atlanta. He was…young. very young, for a Misfit. Usually, we do not show our powers until maturity, eighteen, nineteen. But he was…twelve, at the most. He could…produce liquid fire, yes? Blue - hotter than hot. His name was Matthew.

[Anna hadn’t known him. She hadn’t even been born yet. But she had heard about him.]

There were press conferences, and the government did not know what to do with him - we were still trying to recover from a devastating nuclear war that destroyed our planet, and trying to cope with living beneath the surface. [She gave Kevas a dry look.Dealing with a mutation was…not on the agenda, you see ( ... )

[In all honesty, Kevas thinks the history could be spared. The story is definitely a sad one, and he does feel for her, but it doesn't tell him just much about how dangerous this Mads might be. At least Kevas has an idea who this mon's targets will most likely be. Unfortunately that includes pretty much everyone Kevas cares about along with himself, though Kevas cares less about that.]

So da mon be fancyin' himself a smooth talkuh huh? Too bad fuh him dat don't mattah to me. If be layin' a hand on my family he will die. Simple as dat.

[There's no reason to believe her story, but there's no reason to believe Mads' either, if he even has one. Besides, Kevas is much more inclined to believe a ladymon whether or not she's right.]

Something like that, yes. [She smiled, but it was still without any humor.]

I understand that it is my word against his - and I do not honestly expect you to believe me. That is entirely your choice. I only ask that you at least heed it, and be wary. That is all.

He is dangerous, mon ami. That is for certain.

Fuh da record, when joo go sayin' sometin' like dat it don't help joor story much.

[Kevas grins at her and chuckles.]

Den I'll be watchin' da mon closely and, as I said, if he be makin' himself a danguh to my family I'll kill him.

[But before he can do that.]

Joo got a description of da mon dat I can work wid?

[There is finally humor creeping into Anna's expression - it covered the jealousy she felt that this being had family and people close enough that he considered family. Anna couldn't afford to let anyone get that close.]

I understand - I will never pretend to be good at this...leader thing. [She gestured. She did her best, really.]

Oui, I do. Tall, lean. Unruly brown hair, light facial hair. Blue eyes.

Aye, it definitely be a hard t'ing to be good at. Dere be a reason I stopped.

[He likes being a father and a brother so much more anyway. It's a lot more rewarding, if a bit more stressful.]

I'll remembuh dat. T'ank jah ladymon.

[All pink-skins look short to him, but the hair and eyes should be enough for Kevas to pick him out.]

[She nods, looking tired.]

That is understandable. [Sometimes she wishes she could do that.]

Of course. If there is anything else I can do, please...let me know, yes?
