Exciting news...
So, Vince is doing a work/personal project. Apparently Aurum (his place of employment) has decided to try to keep everyone's skills sharp and is willing to pay their employees to work on some creative projects that will showcase the skills that they have. So, Vince comes home the other day and asks if I want to be a part of it. I of course said yes even though it's more work for me to do, but I thought that it would be totally fun.... and this is the first time that he's ever actually asked me to be directly involved in one of his works.
Anyways, I'm working on designing Greek styled costumes (which involves me going out and buying tons of fabric), but they will be simple designs that he can add to digitally later. Plus, on top of that, Vince has some connections with Konstantino (a jewelry maker) and will more than likely be able to borrow several thousand dollars worth of jewelry for it (for the Greek goddesses to wear - including you Katie). We have two of the three female parts cast. Katie, you can either be the fate that measures how long the yarn of life is for individuals or you can be the one that actually cuts it. I know that doesn't make much sense right now, but Vince will hopefully be getting those emails out soon, so that you'll have a better understanding of it. My cousin Christine will be your supporting counterpart, so whichever one you don't get, she will take.
As for the female lead that will hopefully be my other cousin Evette. She has the perfect Greek look to her (very pretty and ridiculously curly hair) and will look totally awesome as a Greek goddess. She also has the added value of being married to the person that we hope will be the male lead, so there won't be quite so much awkwardness when it comes to hugging and such. But she will be the fate that gives life by spinning the yarn.
And then we were hoping to get Eric (Dr. Light) in on the action as the wise soothsayer that is kind of the guide to this dreamland that the male lead will be wandering around in. hehe. It's going to be so awesome. I just really hope that my cousin Evette and her husband agree to it. They haven't fully committed yet, but if they do I don't see how this will go wrong.
The shitty part is the production because you're not even going to have a real idea what the hell is going on. Most of it will be shot on green screen and Vince will add in all of the backgrounds and such later. I'm constantly amazed by what he can do with a computer and those mad skillz of his. But everyone will be welcome to our house afterwords for dinner and a little partaking of substances. That will unfortunately have to be our "payment" seeing as were poor as shit, but I think that it will be an all around good time.
