the story of the new icon. i was having daarjeling tea with the window open, smells and sounds of the river, black indian ink, nick drake singing in the background. .. . since i saw the royal tenenbaums last week i've had the urge to listen to bryter layter over & over & over again. it's such a perfect album, as are the other two. my dog, a true bohemian blonde with smoky eyes, is into imitating margot tenenbaum these days. where was i? oh yes, i started spilling tea on the paper thinking "i want to write & illustrate a story with this girl, the kind who watched the pigeons pair on the backyard during sunday school."
this morning i finally got the invitation to the entrance exam of the art school.
i was beginning to think - -- oh dear.
now there is so much goodness to look forward to, i can't contain myself! starting on thursday; helsinki. to look for the loveliest graduation dress, meet the loveliest girls & to see the magical
selfish shellfish perform at a bar. before that i must find a birthday present for leni (something that glows in the dark, perhaps) and take miss shalafut to a decent photobooth.
i should get some sacred sleep now, my daily rhytms are getting ridiculous.
