Today has been an adventure.
As my luck would have it, last night I forgot to set my alarm, thus waking up around 11AM instead of 8AM. Had it been spring break already I wouldn't have cared, but as it turns out I missed my first two classes of the day. I don't care that I missed Japanese so much, I'm just pissed that I missed Chaiklin's class. I was in serious panic mode when I woke up. All I could think was "FUCK! That paper is due today!!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK" and so on. I wasn't sure what to do exactly b/c she has a ridiculous strict policy on absences so I figured maybe if I called her I could explain my situation (i.e. beg for her to accept my paper) and go from there. I tried her phone but no one answered and I ended up leaving a message. I thought she might be in her office, so I trucked it over to Posvar in about 3 minutes I think. Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I really did have a fire lit under my feet! Desperate times call for desperate measures, ね? I managed to find her office but of course no one was there and just as I was about to leave, low and behold I saw her! I told her my story and she said she would accept my paper (thank goodness) b/c she thought it was strange that I hadn't shown up, I was a good student, blah blah, etc.
So that was my day from about 11 to 11:40. Needless to say I was not pleased with how the morning had turned out.
After the panic had dissapated, I had to head up to my 日本語の従業. Surprisingly enough, it was fun. Kanisawa 先生must have been in a good mood or else I was just doing well today...whatever it was I am thankful, because that was one less thing to worry about. After class I did a little bit of running around and was able to bring the papers I needed to the study abroad office. So hopefully I will be finding out if I am going to 立命館大学 in about a week or two. Finding out that I am accepted to either 立命館大学or かんさい外大would be a really nice 誕生日のプレゼント。
Speaking of my birthday....Chauncey, Kayla & Joe....do any of you want to come with me to the Mae concert @ Mr. Small's on 3/29??? It's a Thursday night and the show starts at 7. I don't have anything planned for my birthday yet, so I thought maybe this could take the place of a party. :D
