me, my mac, and the "anti-virus"

Jul 04, 2009 14:44

Norton's was the cause of my Mac's misery. It corrupted files on my computer that my Mac detected upon system upgrade. As a result, it shut down to block Norton's from wrecking more havoc on my system. Fortunately, the tech guy completely wiped and reinstalled everything on my computer so that anti-virus crap can't rear its ugly head again. As a result I lost everything on my computer, including Norton's. Luckily, I had all my documents and some pictures backed up so the important stuff isn't forever lost. But my music, internet bookmarks, and various other things are gone. It's a small price to pay though to have a healthy system. On the upside, the tech guy didn't just clean my system, he upgraded it.

I'm never putting an anti-virus program on my computer again, it causes more trouble than it's worth.
