So I haven't done anything fandom-y in a while and I thought I'd do a picspam of Hannah and Logan from Veronica Mars for a few reasons.
+ I adore them to pieces, of course.
+ I'm in a Logan mood and since they're my only ship for him that exist on the show it was my only option outside doing a spam of him (not that I don't want to, but I did one before so I wanted to do something different).
+ I was working on a new LoPe vid and watched clips so I decided to make one.
+ They get so much hate in the fandom that I wanted to show them some lovin'.
Just 12 pics and a few quotes as well as thoughts under the cut.
I love this little smile exchange and the bantering during their first scene together. She's clearly interested in him (who wouldn't be?) but she doesn't really let it show. Okay so he was playing games initially, but I think he genuinely liked her the whole time. Otherwise he couldn't have grown to care which he did, see Grapes of Raff.
I just love this cap, no other reason.
"I'd like the pink bunny please. What's your name?"
"Hannah."
"I'll name my bunny after you Hannah."
"Acutally its name is Logan, break my heart."
"Sorry did you want that?"
"No, I bought it for you."
"You are sweet."
"I can't I'm here with my friends."
"So? Tell them you want to play with me for a little while."
"What makes you think I want to?"
"What makes you think it's a good idea to pretend you don't."
Gotta love his amused tone in this scene, he obviously finds the whole thing very amusing. That's Logan for ya, humor to cover up and forget everthing else going on. It makes him seem mechanical at times, but there are those moments where you get to peek inside and see how much he really does care even if he pretends he doesn't. Again we'll see more of this later on.
"Ah this isn't a date."
"Um I bought you a drink and I won you a stuffed animal, check your dictionary princess."
Okay so we find out he's playing games, but just wait...it doesn't take away from the cuteness of the caps.
Stolen moment and nose kiss, hee. Okay so he's hiding from his friends since she's not his usual "type" or whatever, but just wait...
This is the scene that tells me he really likes her. He held her hand in front of everyone and he didn't have to do it. Or at least I think he's conflicted, trying to play the game but finding he actually does like her. I think that Logan tried to play the game and keep a distance using sarcasm and humor more than he actually felt it. I think he wasn't expecting to actually like the girl so it messed up things for him...
Tickle fight and cuddle. So I hate the e-mail he sends in this episode, I was really disappointed in him, but I think when he hears her defending him to her mom it alters something in him. No one has ever really had faith in him and to get that...I think it changed things and it became less of a game.
He really is sorry. Look at that face, Logan can fake anything but that. Plus he got what he wanted, if he stayed away from her then he would have charges against him dropped, but he couldn't stay away from her. He tried but couldn't. This scene is what proves to me that he cared more than he wanted to or let on about it. I don't care what anyone else says about it either.
"You want me to forgive you?"
"Yes."
This scene is so sensual, sexy, and heartbreaking all at the same time. The kiss the share when they're sitting up then the other things...her dad coming in and taking her away. His face when she leaves breaks my heart.
I think HaLo could've worked out if she had been older and things had been different. But her faith in him, her guts in being with him despite his reputation, her acceptance that he may do crappy things to people but he really cares deep down, and his conflicting emotions between doing what he wants and what he feels he has to do are what draw me to them. There was a side to Logan during the few episodes she was there that we hadn't really seen before. We saw the sarcasm and the snark, the humor and the laughter, but there was that more vulernable side to him. We saw someone else stepping out for him and I think it stirred up something different in his character we hadn't seen previously. I love the dynamic, I love her and I love him so of course I'm going to like them together no matter how screwed up things were. I can see beyond the games which I think most people don't. But by writing drabbles about him and the like, I've grown to look inside his head and have grasped an understanding of him that some people may not have. And I'd like to think that he cared. Of course the writers made it seem minimal later on, but regardless they had a moment in time that will always be special to me no matter what happened before or after.
If you read my ramblings, thanks, I know it's hard and I don't really expect anyone but Kay to look at this. heh. Oh and I have a few fic recs if anyone is interested, I was just too lazy to post them with this.
