May 31st Day 19 → A talent of yours
I can cross one of my eyes whilst the other looks straight ahead, not a useful talent but a talent none the less!
June 1st Day 20 → A hobby of yours
Theatre is my hobby. Yus yus. It is a very expensive hobby, but I love it so. I have met some awesome people through it (and some crazies, but we shall forget about them) and I just lobe it.
June 2nd Day 21 → A recipe
Prawn & lemon risotto:
Ingredients Olive oil 1/2 onion, finely chopped 1 clove of garlic, peeled and finely chopped 150g risotto rice 75ml white wine 750ml warm light vegetable stock A bunch of spring onions, thinly sliced 150g cooked peeled prawns 3 tablespoons low-fat crème fraîche A squeeze of lemon 1/2 bunch of corriander, chopped Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method: 1. Heat up a splash of oil and gently fry the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the rice and continue frying for two minutes. Add the wine and continue stirring until the wine is absorbed. 2. Now start to add the stock, ladle by ladle, stirring until the stock is absorbed between each spoonful. 3. Give the risotto lots of tender loving care, by stirring regularly, and the creamy starch will come out of each grain. Continue like this for 10 to 15 minutes. 4. Add the spring onion to the risotto, continue cooking for five minutes and then add the prawns and crème fraîche. 5. Now this is the important point. You need the rice to be al dente, which means firm-to-bite (not soft and overcooked), so keep tasting it until it is time to take it off the heat (it will probably need another five minutes). 6. Add a squeeze of lemon and stir through the corriander. Check the seasoning and then, for the final touch, grate some lemon zest over the top.

Cassie Compton also tickles my fancy. I lobe her. a lot. You may remember her from being on the first X Factor series back in the day when she was a baby. She has since been Eponine in Les Mis (freaking awesome), in dirty dancing (which we shall gloss over) and is now a sweet then terrifying Nessa in Wicked.

June 6th Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
This was the day after Cat's wedding. I awoke on the floor of a 5 star hotel freezing my ass off as I was in the air-con path (should really have checked this before bed lol), watched american wife-swap (rastafariiiiiii lmao comedy) whilst charl, kel & I showered and threw all our stuff in our bags. Hung out in the hotel reception whilst we said goodbye to the newlyweds, lady & lord Dowell & Cat's parents then we tottled off to Fee. After a stop at a drive through Maccy-D's for brunch we sped off to Notts where we chilled in spoons for a bit, had some dinner then ran through the rain back to Fee. Charl & Kel then dropped me at the station and my cupcake and I sped back to London in first class which was nice and peaceful. Got home just in time to watch Bizarre ER with Denny then hit the hay.
June 7th Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Ok, on the Monday I went to Manchester to watch Nemopants become paralympic world cup champion & world record holder (WHOOOOOT!!) with Cat & Kel (& a loud horn), Tuesday I went to work in the am then Nix came round to cut my hair in the evening. Whatty also made a surprise visit as she had an occy health appt spung on her by her new uni. Weds I went to work in the am then chilled in covent garden with Kel & Charl & Whatty & Denny for lunch and a visit to the sweet-shop, then went back to work before meeting everyone in Nando's for dinner then heading to the AV to see NDJ (omg awesome), Lee (disappointing) & Cassie (<3 ) in Wicked for the first time. Thurs I spent the day packing then jumped on a train in the evening to Notts where I was buttered up by Charl's evil cat who decided my pillow was where she wanted to sleep. She was not my friend in the morning. Fri we drove to Liverpool via KFC & Tesco. We discovered AA directions suck. And that Liverpool has a terrible city centre to drive in. We met Cat & the family for drinks in the posh hotel before heading back to our more modest hotel for dinner. Here is Charl with her dinner:
Saturday was Cat's wedding which I will do a post for itself eventually and Sunday was described above :)

Kel & El's theatre weekend - we saw Hair and mousetrap which I previously posted about
Shopping with mum - bought her a dress for my Uncle's wedding
Uncle Stephen's wedding - Ceremony was a bit Jesusy for my tastes, but my little cousin was sat next to me and I had the video camera so we kept each other entertained. We all found it hard that Steve wasn't there.
Cat's hen night - straight after my uncle's wedding I jumped on a train back into london and then up to manchester for the hen night. Really awesome fun. Will post properly about this later as well.

This year has been pretty shitty really. It's been a year that has changed me & one I will never forget despite wanting to.

During the next year I want to get this PhD done, one way or another, hopefully via Kyoto. I want to forget about past & future because neither of them matter. I want to get that tattoo done for my brother. I want to be whole. As corny and new-age as it sounds I want to find myself.

He loves football, supports Spurs, loves film, idolises quentin tarentino, likes computer games, like swimming but hates the beach, loves meat, hates fruit and veg, likes budwiser, idolises frankie boyle, wears too much product in his hair, is self-conscious about his receding hairline, has one foot a size and a half smaller than the other because he broke that leg, is scared of big dogs, has ticklish legs, is proud of his beard, has no sense of rhythm but can play guitar, is a really good actor, is a terrible singer, still sleeps with his teddy, loves kids, loves the simpsons, finds jackass hilarious, has terrible english language skills & grammar but writes great scripts, loves prawn cocktail crisps, is a loyal friend, loves bbq ribs, loves everything japanese, is a terrible liar, is a comedian, doesn't feel the cold, hates soup, has a wonky finger, has a round scar on his elbow, gets hayfever, gets airsick, is diabetic, is really good at mental arithmetic, knows the capital city & flag for every country in the world, is scared of needles, is scared of heights, likes wrestling, suits all hats, is really good at the diablo......
I miss him every second of every day. I'll never be the same.
