Katrina's furry victims

This coming Monday the kennel I work at will be getting 28 dogs that were rescued from New Orleans after Katrina. They are staying with us until Saturday where they will then all head to OSU to be spayed and neutered and then go on to foster homes. I'm anxious to see them all, but I'm afraid seeing them will make me very sad. I'm sure they all have owners out there somewhere looking for them or maybe their owners died....either way it's pretty heart wrenching. I don't work on Monday, but I'm going to go in after my class and see them all. I want to give them as much affection as I can as I'm sure they went through hell. It really means a lot to me to know that I can help take care of these dogs. I'm really a big softy when it comes to animals.
