"Update Journal"
I have become the pet sitting fool lately. I have like 4 jobs lined up for the next month or so. Next weekend is a little miniature schnauzer puppy. His name is Charley. He was a vet appointment I took care of a few weeks ago and the owner was looking for a pet sitter and I volunteered. It will be fun playing with a wee pup for the weekend.
I am now part of a bowling league on Monday nights at Sawmill Lanes. Tomorrow will be the third week. The first week my average was a 103 and last week I beat my average each game, not by much, but hey it's improvement. My fellow teammates are David, Luke and my brother. My brother got a 175 this past week. He got like 5 strikes in a row. We kicked the other teams ass which I am very excited about because I was pretty sure we were going to be dead last at the end of it all, but now I'm pretty sure we'll have at least one team worse than us. I really want to buy my own bowling shoes, but I have yet to do it. In the long run it is cheaper to buy your own than to rent them each week.
On my way home from work today I realized that I will be working 12 days in a row (counting today). That's just craziness.
I went to the big free concert last night. It started off with Flogging Molly who I really enjoyed. I have heard their name several times, but didn't really know what kind of music they played or what they were all about, so it was cool to finally see them. On the other stage (there were two) I saw Talib Kweli and The Roots. They were both VERY good. I've never been to a hip hop concert so it was definitely something new for me, but it was a lot of fun. My brothers friend got a drum stick that was thrown into the crowd.
I watched "The Usual Suspects" tonight. It is an excellent movie and makes me love Kevin Spacey as an actor even more than I already did.
