You write by far my favorite episodes of House, and I will miss your involvement in it terribly, but I do know what you mean about having to do some things for yourself, or go mad.
I was among those on Twitter who logged in to tell you how astonishing last night's episode was. It truly was, and I would love nothing more than to have a long discussion about what's going on with Wilson's insane rush into what I believe will be disaster with Sam. What compels someone normally so empathetic to damage his best, longest-held friendship for the sake of a romance still in its untested, hormone-fueled first blush. I have a sense of his being driven by some unnamed desperation, and I wonder if I'm right about that.
But it was only one of many things that broke my heart (and House's) last night, and that long scene of yours? Was the kind of thing that made me love this show in the first place. I've had the story on my mind all day, and that's pretty telling; it very rarely happens. This is one I'm going to re-watch, and catch more new aspects, and the way it's woven together is so incredible that I know I'm not going to get bored.
House's self-punishment could've just killed me. And I mean that in the sense you hope I do.
I am really going to have to find your novels.
Editing to add: Found them, and they look very much like my cup of tea, and the glowing reader reviews made me smile.
Other random thing: I hope you do write that post on the "shippification" of shows, and as for the person harping on about Lucas, there's always the "Block Sender" option.
