Phew, I'm so glad I'm not alone - I was going to say this before reading Anna's reply: Congratulations... but what's a secondment? :)

it's a temporary thing, just for 6 months, usually they offer them in someone's absence, like when someone goes off on maternity leave? But this one they made just for me because they couldn't give me the actual full-time role I went for in the department because it's just a little bit too much of a risk when I come from a role 4 grades below this one and don't have any financial experience. The financial figures experience is important because part of the job would have been doing market forecast figures which go straight to the heads of stategy and planning for UK and they produce the monthly business plan with them. Vodafone has some serious work to do in the market place at the moment to remain the market leaders so it would have been horrendously scary for me to be responsible for something so crucial when i've never done it before. aces. that sounds scary but good! like they liked you best out of everyone but wanted to train you up proper before giving you all of the scary responsibility..

orange aren't being bad but my phone bills come in at about £125 every month which is...rather a lot! my contract with them ends in october so i want to blackmail them into giving me a good deal...like 1500 minutes and 750 texts for £20 a month or something ;)

let me know when you're all settled and i'll come visit! where are you going to be living, did you say they've sorted accommodation? xx

oh geez, they'll give you whatever you want if you're spending that much!!

i don't know where i'm going to be living yet, they're not sorting accomodation for me, just paying! i'm trying to convince tim it'd be a good idea for us to live together, that way i don't have to live with some complete random and share kitchens and bathrooms and bleh weird. I'll keep you posted on what's going on xx
