okay, people. i understand the need to be hipper than everyone else, but let's get one thing straight:
when your whole purpose in life is to be part of a scene that is so freaking elite that it gets its jollies by ripping on everyone else for being unoriginal, maybe you should listen to your own prattlings and stop singing 14 songs in a row that SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME!!!

just because it's indie does not make it elite. so knock it off. you can like whatever kind of music you want, but stop pretending it's so much better than every other genre just because it's not marketable.
metalheads are proud of their shredding abilities.
crappy rap-rock is "better" because it gets a IQ-impaired crowd of fat people moving ( i suppose that is quite a feat...)
punk is "damning the man" and fighting the battle of anarchy
Rap is all about self-promotion and who is more of a lyrical wordsmith
Hardcore is about who can act the toughest, and dance the most violently, oh, yes, and let's not forget, who can scream the most unintelligably
indie is all about who can be the most confusing and play the most instruments and sound the most like radiohead and pedro the lion without sounding like radiohead and pedro the lion.
make fun of people that suck at their instruments and try to pass it off like they don't. but stop pretending that your indie scene has some sort of deification because of its inherent superiority, you elitist musical whores.
