Providence is an acquired taste. At first you just notice that its dirty (in more ways then one). After you get over the initial disgust you learn to love it.So at first when I was looking for apartments I had a hard time locating anything habitable. I tripped over my own feet and stumbled on this really great place though. It was pure luck. The weird thing about the city is there is really no grocery store. There is ghetto shaws with the full time cop which is in such a bad area it closes at 9. The other thing you have to love about it is whenever you get lost you always end up in the ghetto. This is becuase there are like 4 ghetto's in providence. I don't know which is the worst yet I hear different things. All are fairly scarey in there own way. Sometimes scarey is fun though. So at ghetto walmart today they have what seems to be a "pimp your ride" section. I found fake mirror to replace my driverside mirror which was been missing since before christmas. The other thing I love about Providence is the music scene. It really is great I'm going to get tickets to see regina spektor for the day after my birthday if anyone is interested in going with me let me know. It's going to be a really great show. Her new album is awesome, and if you haven't seen the video yet for fidelity I reccomend visiting the website and taking a look. It's GREAT!!!

Last night I went to the empire review at AS220. It was like a cabaret, comedians, musicains, actors. It was really great and entertaining. I start my drawing sessions there tomorrow night I'm excited about that. It really seems like a great place and everyone I've met there so far is great... I have a lot going on this week. First drawing tomorrow, then Thurs. yoga then Friday dinner and to mardi gras. Uh Oh watch out...
