I heart San Francisco

I was only there for a couple days, but it's official: I will one day live in San Francisco. Aside from the smaller Spanish towns I visited, it is by far, the best city I've ever seen. Even though it was raining half the time, it was incredible, beautiful, magnificent. My hotel was within walking distance to Union Square where I spent a warm sunny day strolling around. The city itself isn't that large, 7 square miles in all, but still crowded with 700,000 people.
Highlights:

-Haight-Ashbury: still filled with quirky local shops and littered with '60s flashbacks, however, the Gap managed to snuggle in a store at the prime corner location.
-Union Square: high-end fashion labels and a beautiful grassy/pavement park with a delicious cafe
-public transportation (trolley/cable/street car): great for people watching/site seeing
-Chinatown: crowded but exciting with outstanding architecture
-Fisherman's Wharf: kinda touristy, reminded me of many other docked shopping areas
-the bay: self explanatory
-Pacific Heights: gorgeous victorian homes, steep STEEP roads
-Union Street: less crowded than the rest of downtown San Francisco, quiet and filled with boutiques and cafes

Someday, someday
