Indy trip day 1
Got up Wednesday morning and finished packing. Did a few quick clean up things around the house and then headed down to Harrisburg to stay at the hotel. I stayed at the Best Western Harrisburg. They must have done some renovations because I don't remember the rooms being that nice. I ended up eating the at hotel because it just smelled so good. I have ravioli and it was yummy. Very happy belly. I ended up trying to find a mall so I could go get a couple more books for the trip. I ended up getting lost but thankfully I remembered Em's parents number so I gave them a call and they got me unlost. I got the to bookstore and grabbed a couple more books.
Got up way too early for the flight at the butt crack of dawn. Really, really need to stop booking flights at the butt crack of dawn. There were three other people waiting for the shuttle to the airport and we decided that 430am is not morning it is night. I think we decided that morning shouldn't start until 8am. Got over to the airport and waited for the flight. The flights weren't bad. The attendants on the flight to Detroit annoyed me. There were a lot of empty seats and they wouldn't let anyone move to the open seats. Someone must have spit in their coffee that morning. When I got to Detroit I was able to get moved to a seat with more room.
tammy_g was waiting for me at the airport. We collected my luggage and then headed off for breakfast/brunch. I forget the name of the place we ate at. We ran a few errands and then headed back to her place so she could do some baking. I got to meet her adorable new kitten, Cassie. She is absolutely adorable. I brought Cassie a new toy and I think she played with it for at least 30mins or so. I think I ended up falling asleep for a short nap at one point.

Then we headed out for supper. tammy_g took me out for Thai food. First time I have ever had Thai food. We had chicken satay (very good), thom kai gai (sp?) - that was good - not my favorite but good, pud pug guam? (okay I have no idea if that is even close) that was good too and I forget what else we had. Thai food was a definite win. We then headed back to to away pezazul and Christopher (don't know his LJ name). We talked for a while and then headed off to bed because Tammy needed to get up and pick up debmats
