and you make it hard

So its been a long long time since i last wrote. So much has happened, yet everything still remains the same. I dont know how that happens, but theres no other way to explain it. Still taking things as they come, and still trying to outrun the rain cloud that constantly follows me.

Since summer is over and school is starting on monday, i might as well recap my summer adventures as accurately as i can.

Somehow i got stuck working 5 days a week for the past 3 months, and i might have 50 dollars left to show for it. But it was well worth it.

first concert of the summer was def leppard and journey which was really good. as was each concert that followed.

beatlemania was june 29th, and justine and i got right up to the stage and yelled pauls name every 5 minutes. the guy would look over and smile and blow kisses.. which made us love him even more. during the encore we were all dancing in front of the stage, and then once the show was done we stole the set lists.

4th of july was a really really good time. we went to cooper river and saw foreigner for the third time. of course we pushed our way right up to the front of the stage and it was awesome. the fireworks werent too great considering we watched 5 minutes of them before some creep came up to us and wouldnt leave us alone.

crosby stills nash and young was july 6th, and that was also a good time. their encore was a little disapointing since it was only one song, but i loved watching neil young up on that stage.

the next concert we went to was in atlantic city. brianna justine and i took the train and got there early. we went out to eat and then i talked some random guy on the boardwalk to buy us beer. once we got into the concert it was a lot of fun.. from chugging beers in the bathroom stall, to running in skirts and flip flops through the streets and casinos.

tom petty was on wednesday. my boss got me free tickets, which was more of a sneaking in the front door. they were lawn seats, but we got lucky and were right up against the railing of the lawn.

the last concert we went to was bob dylan in reading pa. again i had fun. it took us 3 hours to get there since we kept getting lost, but that just made it more interesting. we met some cool people while asking for directions, and once we got there, the cops gave us a parking spot right away. we had perfect timing and listening to the last opening band and then bob dylan came on. There were definitely some weird people around us, but they were pretty cool. one older dude tapped me on the shoulder once he started playing and handed me a joint. of course i didnt decline. i was really nervous about how bob dylan would sound, but i wasnt disapointed. he didnt play guitar, and didnt sing like he used to, but you cant really expect him to. he put on a good show, and his band was jammin. ironically bob dylan might be playing at the wachovia center in november, and i'll go see him there too.

Now i have eric clapton and the who to look forward to. and i certainly am looking forward to them.

im scared for school to start. i have 4 classes this semester from 9-2. but with an hour break somewhere in there. music appreciation, statistics, developmental psychology, and sociology. should be ok. i hope. i hate school.

who knows what the next couple months will bring.
