It's almost a little past an hour since it ended, but wow oh wow did Tommy Haas and James Blake put on a show, and then some, at the US Open Round of 16 match this afternoon. I was watching it first from my bedroom and then the Fifth Set and Tiebreak while eating supper. That had a bit of everything in it and James...Oh James...You were so, close to the Quarterfinals this year. He'll be back though. I have the feeling that before he hangs up his racket, that man will be winning a Slam somewhere.
Starting to get stuff together to head down to Toronto. To say I'm starting to get excited is an understatement. Got to head to Sudbury and my sister's first though. I have a Dental appt Thursday morning. Since I have to have IV Sedation and be put out due to freezing not really working all that well on me, Thursday is pretty much going to be shot. So Wednesday will be spent heading over there and then getting last minute things I need. Such as a badly needed hair cut.
Things are coming together though. Got a couple of things packed, but I'll really be busy tomorrow night. I don't want to pack any clothes yet and until I see what the four day Toronto forecast is tomorrow night. This year is so tough to pack for weather wise. :o/
Right now, the plan is to try and see Eastern Promises and Elizabeth : The Golden Age. The main word being "try" up there. Anything else though will be by chance. So, that takes up the first two days. The third, I really don't have anything planned. Other than switching between places I'm staying at (Don't ask...). Might do a wee bit of shopping, which makes my Mom go a bit white at the thought of. ;o) For the fourth and last day, the Blue Jays come home after the road trip that starts tonight to play the Yankees at the Concrete Pizza Pocket.
Have you ever seen The Skydome/Rogers Centre from the air? It looks like a concrete pizza pocket, so...:oD No idea who will be pitching, but I'd love to see Roy Halladay again. Especially since my one and only time seeing him pitch, the Jays got their butts handed to them by the Orioles 13-2. However, I can say I got to see Sammy Sosa hit two home runs that day, but...
The next day, it's back to my sister's for a few days. Can't leave until Transplant Clinic on the 14th is over and we might just stay that night too. Mom and Dad are heading off for Sault Ste Marie while I head to Toronto. They've been wanting to do that for about a month now. So, I get my vacation/mini break, they get a vacation/mini break and everyone will be happy!!
I hope.
