Well I went to the Doctors today as I mentioned in yesterdays entry to find out what the Doctor wanted to try next and to get a 'note' for my TB. Well as it turns out the Doctor thinks that I may have Bronchitis so has signed me off for two days off of work. This caused much stress at the time since I have so much to do at work and I didn't want people thinking - well she's home sick - told you she had TB! In reference to the TB when I asked the Doctor for a note (explaining the situation of the previous day) he was absolutely stunned. For one thing he said that he wouldn't say that I had TB (or even suspect the fact) and then just send me back to work. Pointing out that the proof of my non-TB status was the fact that I wasn't currently in a static air environment on an isolation ward. He flat refused to give me a note or call anyone to indulge their fantasy's and told me that if my boss had a problem he could call him personally and he would 'educate' them on the symptoms of TB.
Anyway I did end up having a chest x-ray to double check the Brochitis status and was given a crap load of (more) drugs and then was sent on my way. I did go back to work and give some turn over on what was going on to my alternate and just decided that it wasn't my fault I was sick and they had no one to really do my job and just went home.
I was taken home by a friend by way of the supermarket to pick up a large amount of Gatorade - a drink I usually don't partake of - I'm a aficiando of Diet Coke myself. The Doctor was very insistent that I drink large amounts of electrolyte drinks for some reason and to drink a lot of anything on the antibiotics he put me on.
So - home sick but home at least.
I've watched some more of the DearS series and will probably finish that up tonight. I've also watched the Ghost in the Shell movie Solid State Society. I was so happy to see the tachikomas back - I want one for my desk!!
I've also gone ahead and ordered Little Big Planet for the PSP from Game.co.uk and have been reading Katrina Strauss's Blue Ruin 4 on and off all day. My previous plans for a e-reader fest at work failed with the trip to the hospital and the subsequent action of coming home sick. I'm in love with the story though so at least that's helping my spirits.
Well that's about it for today - scratch TB, check Bronchitis - wathed DearS and Solid State Society (Bleach tomorrow at my leisure from my sickbed - yeah!) and LBP for the PSP on order.
Sack Boy attitude still in check - just kind of a sickly in check if you know what I mean.
later!
