my life is amazing
my life is amazing. I love it here and the people I meet and the friends I've made and the shows I've been so lucky to work on and the shows I've been able to see, and the shows Ive been able to see that my friends are in....especially when they get to go on as a lead role. I saw my friend Robin go on as Angel in RENT last night. I'd seen him in the ensemble before and of course he was fabulash. I love him. But seeing him as Angel was just amazing. He was just specacular. I think it is so important to support your friends in everything they do. Being a part of something special that they are experiencing is so amazing. It's the little things that count....like dropping everything you had to do last night so you could spend a much needed 48 bucks to see your friend as Angel in a show you had already seen 5 times before. i fucking love nyc.
sunday night the UCI theater company out here hosted the pre awards party for the drama desk awards. We set up, and got to mingle at the party and making our company known. We also got to stay for the awards which was super awesome. I talked with so many cool people and saw some folks I knew. It was way fun. I felt so important! heheheh. Brian Blythe was there, for all you satellite folks....the York got a special award. I love runing into Brian. weeeeeeeee. anyway, my show at MTC closes this weekend, then I am off to Cabo for my cousins wedding, then my next show starts rehearsals the day after I get back. still busy as ever. IN THE HEIGHTS got pushed back to the winter, probably february and off bway. so I hope I am still involved. I would drop everything to do that show again. I love talking to Robin about it. We have dinner at this health food restaurant near RENT sometimes, we both love it and make it our little thing together. by the way, if you dont know, Robin was in the movie CAMP.......and he just looks so fabulous in drag! hahahaha. love that boy. anyway, gotta do some stuff before I head out to trapeze and then to MTC. did I mention I met a boy bowling last thursday night?????
