My Best Friend (gypsybunny)and the love of my life (midnight kitten) have met...I have to admit that made me a tad nervous.. but they love each other!!! Im so happy!!!! Im headed to work (oh joy...gag) and I have a big stupid grin on my face!!! The two most important women in my life clicked and I dont have to worry about hurt feelings or animosity

I work 'til 11. my normal shift is 3pm-11pm. once a week i'll work 11am-7pm and my usual days off are mondays n tuesdays.

i love my job. i'm so lucky.

i guess with working 3-11, and in the er, you see just about everything come in through that door... heart attacks, gunshots, migraines, colds, the piddly little shit.. i have had to take mental health patients in the midst of a psychotic breakdown. its not fun... but working 11-7, that would have to suck..

OH... 11AM to 7PM.... i don't mind at all. when i worked at Shands I worked 7PM to 7AM - and believe it or not - that was my favorite shift because night is when alllll the crazy shit happens!!

and yes. psychotic breakdown f'ing suck.

i know what you mean.. hubby used to tell me of all the horrible things and the exciting things that happen on 7p-7a... you know that the most deaths occur between 5-7 am... with our shands hospital here, i damn sure would not want to have to take a psychotic patient to get evaluated

yes. 5-7am. so true. i'm still not good at handling deaths - even those of strangers. luckily i can shut that part of me off (for the *most* part) and detach from it so that i'll be ok.

i can't even imagine it. i've had so many people that were close to me die... some suicide... i can't imagine. i don't want to.
