i paid to have a friend visit from RI so I wouldn't have to spend the holidays alone. it didn't work out well at all. he's miserable, which made me miserable, and it goes on. he didn't make good company, b/c he doesn't like company that much. he's a loner and he likes being alone and he's in denial. so i spent new year's by myself, fell asleep, and woke up around 2am and cried.
on Sat Jan 3rd, I went out on a date after work with a guy who answered my craigslist ad. i also had plans for meeting another guy this thursday (2 days from now) and another for coffee at a time to be determined. the guy sat just destroyed the option for all others. :)
His name is Ben & he's total redneck sweetie. he's sweet and romantic and keeps me smiling :) i can't wait to see him again. i've seen him everyday since sat (he spent the night here & went w/ me vince & arthur to the aquarium sunday) monday morn he left early for work (after much shoving on my part) and i ended up going out there after he got out :) i spent the night w/ him sun & we went for a walk which was fun & nice & romantic & he's great :)
i'm really happy for the first time in a very long time. after years of misery, this year is turning around. b/c i won't accept anything less b/c i deserve it & b/c i can.
