2005 Gamma Challenge

Not a whole lot is new. Last wekk at drama practice I mentioned that I had a skit that I thought they would all really like that would go along with what they were searching for. They asked me to bring it this week, so I did. We read through it a couple times, and they just adored this skit. Thought it was hillarious, which of course it is. So, we are doing in in the middle of July at our church. What was kinda weird was that the leader of this little gang, had me assign parts. when we read though it. Being that this was my second practice, that was a tad ibt odd, but their personalities shown through enough assigning parts was fairly easy. After they read through it the second time, one of the guys mentioned that he isn't sure about his schedule and they all decided I should be in the skit. So, I guess I'll be making my church debut with a skit I've already done in the past. A differnt part mind you, but a very comfortable and happy situation. I've starting to wonder if they are wanting me to take a much stronger leadership role in this group than I'm realizing. I'm just so happy God has put me somewhere that I can use the talents He's given me. That's all I have to say about that.

Oh, and yesterday was the 2005 Gamma Challenge. Team BAM, did very well considering the terrible luck we had with internet directions. We came all the way back from an hour or so down to the top three teams to almost grab 2nd place. Sadly, the last random card we got to make our five card poker hand gave another team two pairs, which beat our top pair. If only they had not gotten that second pair, we would have finished 2nd. Instead, we finished 4th. It was a ton of fun though, even with the twisted, or slightly sprained knee I suffered when the bike I was riding broke. Team BAM< will reconvene and be back at it for 2006. This time, we will use the old fashion maps. Stupid Yahoo, and Mapquest maps. Cost us the victors. Oh well. It was so much fun.
